I like beef from Harris Teeter. Besides, a relative who works for the Harris Teeter distribution plant told me H/T also sold beef to Walmart. I've had steaks from Walmart and they were practiced as well.

Now, if I desire a

good

steak and happen to be in the surface area I will stop in at Larry's supermarket on Milburnie rd. in Raleigh. Larry's yet employs a true butcher and specialize in quality meats.

Personally I'grand not a fan of Harries Teeter meat. I think the quality is sub par.

We buy our meat from Whole Foods and the Butcher'southward Market place. If yous don't want to break the bank, the sirloin cut is excellent from Whole Foods peculiarly if you melt it medium rare and it normally costs $9.99 per lb. I actually prefer the Whole Foods sirloin to Harris Teeter's fillet mignon/tenderloin.

The class of meat you lot purchase also factors into the taste. As long as you lot go selection form or college you should be OK while select grade can be hit or miss & economy grade taste like shoe leather

If I may inquire, why are you limiting yourself to ribeyes? That'due south the second about expensive cut after tenderloin. At that place are some less expensive cuts out in that location that, while not quite as tender, are great values and arguably offer better flavor. I like skirt, flat iron, and my favorite, chuck eye steaks. I'll have these cuts over a T-bone/porterhouse or strip steak any solar day.

Yes I'one thousand not a fan of Rib Eye either. Too fat and not in a good marbleized kind of way. I'd rather take a ny strip or tenderloin. The exception to the rule is bulgogi, then I love rib center!

+1 on the apartment iron. Very reasonably priced and hits the spot when yous desire to throw some blood-red meat on the grill.

I don't buy a lot of meat at Food King of beasts -- practice they fifty-fifty nonetheless cut information technology? HT is fine and I accept had some very nice cuts from Whole Foods, merely was non impressed with the grass fed beef.

Equally an bated, the best sea scallops I take

ever

had came from Whole Foods. Dusted with a little flour, two minutes per side in a hot pan with a touch of oil. They were unbelievable.
